⛤ Obscure ⛤ the Dark Arts fanlisting

Greetings!

Welcome to Obscure, the only TFL approved fanlisting for the Dark Arts,
as encountered in the Wizarding world of Harry Potter.

To me the Dark Arts seem more like a mysterious concept of magic that can encompass anything from usefull jinxes, to harmlessly entertaining hexes and deadly curses and rituals.
Not to mention all the exciting potions and magical creatures and beings who are so conviently labled Dark, because people fear them and think dark means evil.

If you are as intrigued as I am, if you are a fan of the Dark Arts, then by all means grab a code and become a follower.

the Arts

The Dark Arts are generaly, in my opinion,
vastly misunderstood and are therefore often labled as evil.

"The Dark Arts are many, varied, ever-changing, and eternal. Fighting them is like fighting a many-headed monster, which, each time a neck is severed, sprouts a head even fiercer and cleverer than before. You are fighting that which is unfixed, mutating, indestructible."
~ Proffesor and Potions Master Severus Snape.

'The Dark Arts, also known as Dark Magic,
refers to any type of magic that is mainly used to cause harm, control, or even death to the victim.'

By this official definition any and all jinxes, hexes and curses are dark magic.
But ofcourse a simple stinging jinx does not send one to Azkaban.
So therefor perhaps the Dark Arts are not necessarily "evil" aswell, just because it's labelled "dark".
